My anniversary is coming up next month. I still can’t believe it’s been almost a year since Mr. Determined and I walked down the aisle and made it official. This time last year I was stressed out while trying to figure out how to have a teeny tiny wedding without offending anyone (spoilers: it was awesome). This year, less stress. All I need to worry about is a gift for him and a cute dress for me. The rest is his show.
It’s been a while since I’ve put up an outfit of the day style post, so I thought I’d show you what I’m wearing. AMI Clubwear sent me a new top and dress for my special day, so I’ve combined it with some old and new favorites to do a daytime look and another look for the evening when my darling husband takes me out to dinner.
Outfit Of The Day
AMI sent me a new Hello Kitty crop top, so I threw on my favorite jean mini skirt from JC Penney and my lace booties that I bought from AMI last month. I also put on a tattoo choker with some silver beads. Anyone else remember wearing these obsessively in the 90s?! I love that the crop top actually came with a racerback tank top to go under it in case you don’t feel like showing your midsection. However, it’s not attached so you can wear it with or without. The striped and tied crop top made my chest look huge compared to my frame, which isn’t a bad thing. I also haven’t showed you guys these booties outside of Instagram yet, but they’re to die for.
Outfit Of The Night
I got a new sexy, classy little black dress! I don’t think you can ever have enough LBDs. This one has a zipper in back and a slit in the neckline up front that you can close with a little hook. I’m in love with the seams on it around the bottom and it feels modern because of all the lines. When I first put it on (with this really cool Victorian inspired choker), I did notice that some of my bra was showing through the sides. I switched from a very full coverage one to my favorite pushup and it fixed everything. I paired this with my pair of caged heels I got from AMI in July. I actually had three pairs of heels all lined up in front of me because I couldn’t choose! These seemed like the safest bet though, and I can put them with a black and gold purse.
